Are you stuck in a routine? Do you feel as though you’re in a rut? That could be a sign that you need to change things up.
Engage With Others
Engage in as many social activities as you can. When you engage with others in different settings, you’ll often receive comfort, input, and insight.
You should find groups and venues where you can surround yourself with people to have discussions with, to laugh with, to connect with.
We have to learn to be open. Whenever you feel the tendency to close, do the opposite. Allow others to see you as you are. The TED talk by Brene Brown below is a great way to understand the powerful and positive impact that being open will have on your life. In order to have the things we want in life: love and connection, we have to be open. We have to be willing to be vulnerable. We have to let the world see us as we are.
Go after things: Take Action
If there are activities that seem interesting or appealing to you, set the date and do it. If there’s this person that you want to speak with, call them or send a message. Don’t sit around and wait for life to happen to you. Take action now.
Be willing to Be Uncomfortable
Joy can be obtained outside of our comfort zone. You have to be willing to embrace new things. We have to be willing to embrace discomfort.
